Two Years

This past Easter was our second year as a new church. We moved to the Lincoln high school auditorium because the cafeteria was full last year.

We did a practice in the auditorium the week before Easter and had over 100. Four people came in response to the 20,000 post cards we sent out with this picture, inviting them to church.

On Easter we had 145+ in attendance with over 40 first or second time visitors. The praise team was awesome. The college students had decorated the auditorium and it looked great. Kids' classes were great. The setup crew did an outstanding job and the greeters welcomed everyone.

Lori and I were pretty excited with what God has done. While we set a goal of over 200 and still had a few folks gone, we saw how God has blessed this new church. The ethnic and economic diversity continually remind us that God is doing great work in our city. It also reminds us that keeping focused on outreach and evangelism do help churches grow and develop people in the image of Christ.
