Friends' Day

What a great Friends Day.

We had over 135 people and rejoiced as Mike Heironemus was baptized by Brandon Lohmeir. Mike is our 7th baptism since we started and it is great to see Agape people reaching out and studying with people. God moved that day and we had many guests who celebrated the baptism and shared lunch with us. We talked about Jesus' vision to Peter (Luke 5:1-11). He left everything and walked because of a vision. That vision had to be pretty compelling, irresistable, and powerful. We too felt that power when we left our nets.

It was a surreal moment for Lori and I. It is hard to believe that 2 years ago we were sitting in our living room with 16 people (6 were kids) trusting in a vision that God had given us. Kairos Church Planting and Park Plaza Church of Christ were supporting us and praying for us. We had trouble seeing the dream but they saw it for us.

God is good.

Sounds like a really exciting morning! I hope this week and this Sunday will be filled with carryover and continued invitation.

Sounds like you are able to have a reasonable mixture of attractional and missional efforts.
